Product History
Soil Restoration LLC, a family business based in Culver, Oregon, was founded in 2005 by Jim Roth, a North Dakota State University graduate with a degree in Agronomy. With over 50+ years of experience, Jim (pictured right) has been involved in various agricultural projects, including researching alfalfa, introducing leaf-cutter bees into Arizona and Egypt as pollinators, and hybridizing carrots in Central Oregon.
But it wasn’t until he began work as a consultant with an Argentinean-based alfalfa company that Jim noticed that the common misuse of chemicals on the crops he was studying nearly destroyed yields. This experience was the catalyst that led to the formation of Soil Restoration LLC.
Fortunately, Jim was able to gain knowledge from a biochemist on how to change the soil composition and therefore salvage the harvest utilizing biology and bacteria. He recognized the acute need for soils to be replenished with biology in order to fully empower plant life. This essential consideration of soil health during the germination, growth, and production phases was formulated and is now manufactured as products of Soil Restoration LLC.
Ultimately, Soil Restoration LLC products transform soils into a much more ideal environment where plant life can thrive and flourish. This is accomplished through the introduction of our unique and proprietary blend of aerobic microbes, humic substances, beneficial fungi, and nutrients specific to their needs. Soil Restoration LLC ingredients are carefully selected and are recognized in the organic registration field. Treated soils respond through the evidence of increased flocculation, water-holding capacity, and greatly increased bioavailability of plant nutrients. Soil Restoration LLC products are safe for people, animals, and soils. We focus on a nutrient dense food production outcome. Our main focus has been on land use, as we feel it is the basis for all of terrestrial life.

Our product helps eliminate the chemicals that have over-saturated the land as a result of traditional farming. It is based on a special biological architecture that benefits the entire soil matrix regardless of its current status, rather than adding select chemicals to supplement a fundamental deficiency. Soil needs a hierarchy of living organisms to sustain themselves, so our solutions target multiple layers of the micro-ecosystem to provide a stable foundation for full rejuvenation to take hold.
